Tim Gaze

Tim has had a diversified and demanding career, both here and overseas, working ‘live’ and recording with artists like Tamam Shud, Kahvas Jute, Ariel, Russell Morris, Brian Cadd, Stevie Wright, Renee Geyer, Rose Tattoo, The Peter Wells Band, The Bushwackers, Gyan, The Hoochie Coochie Men with Jon Lord of Deep Purple, Tim Gaze & The Swell, and more recently toured both here and overseas with Australian singing legend Jimmy Barnes.

Tim has worked with many acts since the ‘70’s and has a rich blues and surf music history.  He has also written and produced many songs, albums and soundtracks.

Glen Muirhead – Keyboards

Glen Muirhead

Glen’s musical career has been extensive – he has composed film and TV scores, held recording and publishing contracts with major labels (MCA, BMG and RCA), and performed as a keyboard player for some of Australia’s top recording artists.

His talents have taken him all over the world including Europe, Africa and extensive work in the USA on prime-time network television dramas and movies.  He has composed award winning music for many Australian documentaries, and worked in Sydney and Brisbane as a top session musician, playing on national and international campaigns.

Some of the artists Glen has recorded and/or toured with include: Keith Urban, Ian Moss, James Reyne, Russell Morris, Brian Cadd, Wendy Matthews, Troy Cassar-Daley, Jenny Morris, and Jon English.

Scott Williams – Electric / Acoustic Bass and Vocals

Scott Williams

Fluent in many styles of music, e.g. Soul, Funk, Rhythm & Blues, Rock, Country and Jazz, Scott is a highly sought after session and live music performer.  He has performed in numerous clubs, hotels & convention centres in Australia and abroad.  An in-demand session player, Scott has contributed to many radio and television jingles and soundtracks, and his bass and vocals can be heard on various singles and albums for an array of performers.

Member of Solid Citizens (M.C.A. Records), also signed to a recording contract with Polygram Records Australia as a member of Big Red, achieving an Australian top 20  single, performing live to large concert audiences.  Video also aired on ABC’s Countdown and Donny Sutherland’s Sounds Unlimited.

Artists that Scott has performed with include Russell Morris, Jim Keays, Darryl Cotton, Brian Cadd, Peter Cupples, Louis Shelton, Graeme Connors.

Jon Carson (JC) – Drums and Vocals

Jon Carson

Jon Carson a.k.a. JC started his pro music career at the tender age of 15 answering an advert for a sales/teaching job at “Drum Land” in Brisbane.  JC played in many successful Brisbane bands throughout the 70’s and 80’s including “Bootlace”,“Mighty Mouse”, “Aussie Rebels” (with Tim Gaze and Barry Tiplady) and “Big Red” just to name a few.

He worked as a session muso and taught throughout these years as well.  He travelled south to Sydney in the mid 80’s where he joined “Fat Time”, with Bridget O’Donoghue on vocals, toured with Gloria Loring and was asked to join the popular band ‘1927’, who were riding a wave of success on the back of four hit singles.

JC returned to Brisbane in 1990 playing with the Dave Ritter Band and became the resident drummer at “Someplace Else”.  Putting music on the backburner to raise his two children, JC rejoined the fold in 2006 with Tim and Bridget, where his powerhouse drumming and vocals are an exciting feature of any show.

Bridget O’Donoghue – Vocals and Percussion

Born into a family of musicians (her parents were both principal singers with the Doyle Carte Opera Company) Bridget has been around music all her life.

By the age of fifteen, she was extensively involved in the Sydney studio scene and soon became one of Sydney and Melbourne’s top session singers, being the voice behind numerous Coke & Levis commercials and various station I.D.’s.  She also provided backing vocals for many bands including The Angels, Daryl Braithwaite & The Lime Spiders.  She was the voice of popular Sydney outfit ‘ Fat Time’ and toured nationally with Joe Cocker & Carlos Santana.

Her performances spanned across to theatre singing in the original production of ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, the black musical ‘ The Wiz’ and ‘ The Aunty Jack Show’ with her brother Rory.

Karen Anderson – Vocals

ThumbnailKaren Anderson is a Brisbane based jazz and blues vocalist.  She is a popular regular at many jazz, soul and blues venues.  She has performed at many festivals in Australia including Woodford Folk Festival, Kangaroo Point Jazz and Blues Festival, SunCoast Fest, Heat, Ladies Sing The Blues and Blues Benefit 2 at The Healer, Noosa Jazz Festival, Valley Jazz Festival, Ipswich Festival and the Bay Of Islands Jazz and Blues Festival New Zealand.  She was the opening solo vocalist for the Woodford Fire Event in 2004/2005 performing in front of an audience of 20000 people.

Karen has also appeared in many theatrical productions including lead performances at the Lyric Theatre.  She has recorded 3 cds: Fuchsia Blue, Three and Live at BJC and Jazz At The Hangar.
